The Other Night...

The other night we had a fun Pack Meeting with the Cub Scouts. As I have mentioned before we are in the Cub Scouts - yes, we are still in the Cub Scouts... it's fun though, most times. :) David is the Cub Scout Master and so we are over Pack Meetings. For the end of August we did a Cub Scout Family Olympics (idea taken from my awesome sister who did it at our family reunion last year - thanks Shell! :) ) There were 8 events and everyone had to participate at least once. It was a little wild and crazy - OK, ALOT wild and crazy but everyone had a good time!

The Medals - a ding dong with the Cub Scout colors. :)

After the flag ceremony we "let the games begin"!

Ball Blitz - vaseline on the nose (the more the better) and see how many cotton balls you can get into the bowl (without using your hands) in a minute and a half. This is Bryson.

Darts - I had all the Dad's do this event. I put 2 containers of Cool Whip in front of them and told them to lather up! They looked at me like, "Are you serious?" I just had to laugh. Once they were lathered up good we threw fruit loops at them and got a point for which ones stuck on their face. This is David.

I didn't get any pictures of him with the fruit loops because I was running around trying to take pictures of all the dads and get the next event ready but he looked pretty funny! :)

Pie Eating Contest - miniature pie made from mini graham cracker pie crust, chocolate pudding and lots of whipped cream! They made their pie for the person on their left and NO hands!! This is Bryson. All the Cub Scouts did this one together.

Silly Boys! :)

Discus - Dillon waiting to get wet sponges thrown at him. He also did the Race - gave Logan a piggy back ride and also the Bubble Fun event - 2 pieces of Hubbabubba - see who can get a 3" bubble blown first. I guess I'm getting old - we had a few pieces of Hubbabubba left over and David put some in his mouth and was chewing it and asked if I wanted some - it almost made me shudder! Oh - I used to love it when I was a kid. Now though? Ugh - too much sugar or too much chewing - too much something. It was perfect for Dillon - he is a "gum lover"!

Jump Rope - see how many jumps you get in a minute. Bryson was right up there with the best of them. He likes to jump rope and is really good at it.

It was alot of WiLd and cRaZy FUN! :)
