Canning and Freezing...

Ya! I did it - I finally figured out how to do a collage - it was so simple I'm embarrassed that I didn't see it sooner! Oh well - such is life. Speaking of life - it has been a little crazy busy around here. It is harvest time - in the fields and in our little garden. We have been enjoying yummy garden produce this summer. I don't even think the peas made it into the house - the boys (including my husband) love to just pick them out of the garden, sit on the lawn and eat them. The raspberries have come on really well this year. We have been freezing them (well, the ones that the boys aren't eating - they sneak out there and eat them right off the bushes) and I'm waiting until I get some fresh peaches and we will make some more raspberry peach jam - we made some last year and it is so yUmMy!! Then the strawberries have been on too - they are everbearing and so they are on pretty much all summer. We have eaten some, froze some and dipped some in chocolate - yUmMy! Then the beans are on too. I've froze some and canned some - thank goodness I am having a better canning experience with them this year - last year was horrible! Anyways - in between the canning we have squeezed in dentist appointments, doctor appointments, Bear den meetings with the cub scouts, we have registered Bryson for school, gone school supply shopping, gone shopping for school clothes, and Bryson has started up piano lessons - which he is so excited about! :) Then next week it starts all over, one last dentist appointment on Monday, Tuesday Dillon registers and Bryson has piano, Wednesday Bear den meeting and Bryson has to go back and meet his teacher and take his school supplies and finally on Thursday - the first day of school! So - such is life! It's busy but good. :)

Nice collage sis :) Love the raspberry chocolate combo. I'll have to try that one. So are you going to put most your peaches into jam? Will you freeze any for pies or cobbler? I still want that recipe for the strawberry peach cobbler...or was it raspberry and peach cobbler... or pie?

Thanks. :) Probably can some, maybe make some fruit cocktail with some. It's Raspberry Peach Cobbler and it is YUMMY! :) I'll have to get the recipe for ya. :)
