Bathtime for Mason...
My sisters (thanks again girls :) ) gave Mason this cutest little robe/towel and the cutest little puppy slippers to go with it. I have always wanted one of these for my boys, in fact have given many as gifts but never had one and so I had to take some pictures of him in it because I thought he was just the cutest thing! :)

Mason's Blessing Day
May 3, 2009
Sunday was Mason's Blessing Day. It was such a wonderful day and thank you to all the family that came. We just love Mason and as Dillon has said, "Mom, I just can't get enough of that cute boy!" :)

Wow, I think that we took about 50 pictures and it is really really hard to get 4 boys to cooperate just for a second for a picture - well, these two were about the only ones that turned out somewhat OK. Logan - going in for a sweet tender kiss. He is always so soft when he gives Mason kisses and loves. It's too cute.
My 4 sweet handsome boys - ahh, feel the love. :)

Imaginations & Dress Up...
The other night I asked the boys to go and get their pajamas on. The next thing I know they are dressing up as cowboys and riding around on horses. It was pretty cute and sad. Sad because Bryson and Dillon used to do this all of the time - dress up and be cowboys, firemen, superheros, explorers, etc. Now they are getting older and don't do it quite as much but Logan is just starting into it - the other day Logan had Bryson's roller skates on, a head lite that you explore caves with, a construction hat on and his jacket zipped up and he said that he was a robot. It was too cute! I love it when Bryson and Dillon dress up too because it shows me that they are still my little boys at heart. And even though my two oldest boys are growing up, I will still have 2 more boys to dress themselves up and let their imaginations take over for a little while yet. :)
Logan was being so serious so I asked him to give me a big smile - so this is his "big" smile - a big "cheeser" one! I asked him to do it 3 times and each time it looked like this - too funny.
Can you find the EGGS?
A Killdeer has made its nest by our cherry tree in our back yard. I didn't realize that they made their nests on the ground. Their name comes from their frequently heard call. These birds will use the "broken-wing act" to distract predators from their nests. This involves the bird walking away from its nesting area holding its wing in a position that simulates an injury and then flapping around on the ground emitting a distress call. The predators then think they have easy prey and are attracted to this seemingly injured bird and away from the nest. If the parent sees a potential predator is not following them, they will move closer and get louder until they get the attention of the predator. I guess its because I just had a baby but I sure have been protective of these eggs too - trying to help the mama bird out I guess. There are these 2 huge crows that have spotted the nest and keep trying to get at it to steal the eggs, eat the eggs, who knows... but I sure have been yelling at those birds to stay away!! :)

David asked if I and the boys could see the nest and the eggs - I had to look really hard. They are really camouflaged. I was suprised - they blend in really well. The boys keep checking on them to see if they have hatched yet. Can you find them?

Easter...
Well, I've been trying to post about Easter for 3 days now... life seems a little crazy but wonderful at the same time right now. :) It seems like Easter came and went so fast this year. Sorry for all of the pictures and long post - I always have a hard time deciding what pictures to post.
They had 3 Easter Egg Hunts - Grandma Cummings, the neighbors - Ron & Dayle Searle's, and Grandma Gardner's. Here are some pictures from Grandma Gardner's Easter Egg Hunt (the only one that we had the camera for - oops). The boys love the Easter Egg Hunts. They got many candy filled plastic eggs and then Grandma Gardner always has a real colored egg for them with their name on it, once they find it they bring it to her and they get a special prize - usually it's a squirt gun or something like that. They LOVE it and have so much fun! The day after the hunt my sister had some things for all the grandkids to make and take over and put on my niece, Kiersten's, grave site. It was so neat and the cards and things were so sweet from all of the kids. Kiersten loved Easter and loved to help grandma get things ready for the Easter Egg Hunt. She was and is greatly missed. Thanks Lin, it was really nice and thoughtful of you. On Easter morning, my cousin Ryan, reported on his mission to Halifax Canada in our ward and David and the boys went and said that it was really good and sounded like he had a good mission.
Easter Morning - wow, you think it was Christmas morning again. I was feeding Mason at 1:45 a.m. and here comes Bryson into my room, "I'm ready to see what the Easter Bunny brought. Is it time to get up yet?" Ummm... it's the middle of the night!! I sent him back to bed. And then again at 6:14 a.m. (I am feeding Mason again) here he comes, "OK mom. Is it time?" I made him wait until I was finished feeding Mason and then we got everyone else up around 7 ish. The boys were glad to see that the Easter Bunny did not forget Mason - see the picture below, but Mason slept through the whole thing, oblivious to it all of course. :)
These are the eggs that the boys colored.

Logan checking out the treats inside his eggs he found that were hidden by the Easter Bunny!
Bryson and his stash of candy from the Easter Bunny.
Logan got a John Deer Gator - his dream... we can't keep him off the thing.
And... a bubble gun. He kept getting mad because he thought everyone was calling it "bubble gum" and he would say that he could "shoot" out bubbles with it.
The boys got new bikes. They were so excited that they had to try them out first thing - they were still in their pj's. They were so excited that their new bikes had "kick stands". It was pretty cute.

Mason Gerald Cummings...
Our newest addition... Mason Gerald Cummings was born on April 5, 2009. He weighed 8 lbs. and 14 oz. and was 21 1/2" long. All of us just love him - he is so SWEET! We're so glad to have him join our family.
The boys were so excited to finally meet their newest little brother. They were so careful with him and kept giving him loves and kisses! So cute! :)
Such a proud dad!

Boys Spring Concert...
The boys had their school Spring Concert last night. The theme was "Kids on Broadway" and they sang various songs from films on Broadway. They both did such a great job! Their music teacher does such a good job with them. She is alot of fun and they really like her - you can tell by their singing. We watched Dillon with the first graders perform first and then Bryson perform in the 2nd grade after that. Sorry for the quality of the pictures - I need a new lense for my camera, one that will zoom closer and does better with indoor lighting. Oh well, another thing on my "dream" list! :)
